Acupuncture is one component of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) system of health care. An acupuncturist will develop a treatment plan based on individual signs and symptoms using subtle methods of diagnosis, such as pulse and tongue evaluation, and a thorough health history.

Acupuncture uses extremely fine, flexible, single-use disposable needles to stimulate specific points along the body’s meridians (energy pathways). Acupuncture needles typically remain inserted for 20-30 minutes stimulating acupuncture points, though the duration may vary depending on treatment requirements.

Common issues treated with acupuncture are: headaches and migraines, musculoskeletal pain, joint and muscle pain, skin conditions, digestive disorders, stress, anxiety, addictions, infertility, pregnancy support and induction, allergies.

We also offer modalities that complement TCM Acupuncture treatments, such as cupping and Gua Sha, which can be combined into your regular treatment plan.

Most people have some understanding of the benefits of massage. Whether a quick shoulder massage to relieve tension, or a full body relaxation massage, most people have experienced the relief that massage provides.

What is lesser known is that massage can directly affect not only the function of the muscular system, but the nervous, circulatory, and immune systems as well. Whole body massage can aid in recovery from an injury or accident, increase range of motion, and calm the nervous system. By temporarily increasing circulation and lowering blood pressure, massage also works to promote mental clarity and increase the feeling of overall well-being.

Rheanna is a Doctor of Acupuncture with a clinical focus on digestive and mental health conditions. Her interest in the mind-body connection began while studying Psychology, where she explored the relationship between mental and physical health through the lens of Western medicine. Intrigued by the interplay between the immune, endocrine, and neurological systems, she was inspired to look beyond conventional frameworks. This curiosity eventually led her to Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she found a deeper understanding of the body’s holistic nature and its capacity to heal through balance and integration.

Having turned to acupuncture herself for decades to navigate life’s challenges, Rheanna deeply understands its healing potential. She has used it to manage stress, support pregnancies, address chronic pain, and even eliminate allergies. This firsthand experience gives her a unique perspective and a genuine empathy for her patients. With both personal insight and clinical expertise, she brings confidence in the effectiveness of acupuncture to those seeking support for a wide range of health concerns.

Traditional Chinese Medicine is rooted in the understanding that each person is unique, and treatment must address the individual, not just the symptoms. This principle guides Rheanna’s practice. Through clear communication and comprehensive assessment, she works to uncover the underlying imbalances contributing to your health concerns. Acupuncture is not a one-size-fits-all approach and healing is often a layered process. Rheanna approaches this journey with respect, care, and a deep appreciation for the trust her patients place in her.

Outside of the clinic, Rheanna is a busy mom to two energetic boys and can often be found in hockey rinks or sports arenas, cheering them on. When life allows for quieter moments, she enjoys spending time outdoors on her hobby farm, caring for animals and tending to her garden. With a deep understanding of how full life can be, Rheanna finds that her work in Acupuncture not only allows her to support others in meaningful ways, it also offers a sense of balance and grounding in her own life. It’s work she truly loves, and she’s grateful for the opportunity to share it with others.
